Well Red Books was originally set up around 7 years ago as a way for homeschoolers to buy, sell and barter second hand books. Small amounts earned from sales on Amazon were donated to Survival International.
Well Red Book Exchange is now Well Red Books; although the Exchange is still operating, there will now be a growing selection of new titles, mainly non-mainstream titles - including children's - from small independent publishers. Well Red Books will remain non-profit making for the time being, with income from Amazon sales being divided for donation to a project for young homeless people to access art and leisure activities, and a community fund recently set up by a small local housing co-operative.
If you have any unwanted books on alternative education, natural/sustainable lifestyle, radical parenting, independent travel, world cultures, Green issues/Ecology or similar subjects, and you would be willing to donate them to a good cause please get in touch.
